Who’s Fayza?

Me by the sea.I’m Fayza! But that’s not saying much at all, is it? I’ve known me for 30 years, but you have a lot of catching up to do!

Luckily, I’ll help you out.

Ten Fayza Facts:

#1. I moved to Houston from Los Angeles in March 2007. No, I’m not from California, but I can give you a full historic rundown of my past residences at a later date. Anyway, I lost my job in February 2008, so I moved to San Francisco in April 2008. You know, why not? I think it’s the most perfect city in the entire United States of America, aside from the fact that everyone’s going broke living there. Despite that admission, I thought long and hard, and I moved back to Houston in July 2008. Why, you ask? I love the weather, of course. Okay, okay, so that’s a lie for about four months out of the year. The truth is, I couldn’t deny the fact that Houston’s allure was more powerful than San Francisco’s siren song. I’m not a Texan, but I had too good a time pretending to be one. I was compelled to return, so I did. By the way, you don’t know nothin’ if you think Austin is the best city in Texas. Damn skippy.

#2. I’m four feet, eleven inches. And three-quarters of an inch. Tall. People always ask me, “Have you always been that short?” To which I reply, “Mostly, yes.” My doctor would confirm that, following eighth grade, what I’m telling you is the entire truth.

#3. I like computers. I like gadgets. I’ll take a brand new piece of succulent technological goodness over a new outfit any day. I think I’m missing the shopping hormone. I’m generally unconcerned.

#4. I will do anything for cheese. Don’t ask me if I have a favorite, because I don’t. If it’s cheese, I’ll eat it. I was once caught dumping an entire bag of shredded cheddar cheese into my mouth at a party. I’ve eaten an entire slab of parmesan cheese in less than a week (much to the dismay of my roommate). It really doesn’t matter to me. Cheese is cheese is cheese.

#5. I consider myself a bit of a music snob. I’m not snobby about much (read: anything) else, but music is the exception. I have superb taste in music, and I’m not afraid to admit it.

#6. Photography makes me indescribably happy. I really like it. Taking my own photos or perusing the creative works of others – it’s equally gratifying. I’m not really great at it. But I’m still learning. Thankfully, I’ve been patient with myself in the process.

#7. I have more pens than Office Depot. Well, at least more than the neighborhood office supplies joint. I am somewhat obsessed with pens. I was one of those kids that actually practiced handwriting. Even when I wasn’t told to do so.

#8. I might’ve had a stamp collection. I might still have it. I might plead the fifth on the question.

#9. I’m going to grow up and become Wonder Woman. Then you can collect my action figures.

#10. My life is abnormal is many ways. While some people feel the need to judge that, I try to revel in it. Daily.

Hey Fayza. This is Teresa T. again from ****. I sent you an email through your My Space and not sure if you got it? I was bummed when I opened up your email from **** to find that your site had been removed before I could read it. Not sure what happened? Everyone misses you terribly. I started a thread about you and the conversation has been interesting to say the least. I wished you could tell me what you said in the email? It’s not the same at **** without you… By the way…you have done an incredible job with this site! The last time I visited…you had barely gotten started. Did you pay the monthly fee to be able to get your site this way? I am still knew at getting mine up. I want to start my own review site and a Travel Business site to help folks plan their travels and honeymoons. Maybe you can give me some pointers? Miss you bunches!
